Distillation

is a selection from a series developed over a year of being inside. Under the blanket of lockdown and confined at home, sight reduces and the mind draws from memory. With nothing novel to see, the world became a blur of background in search of a focus.

I am interested in our how our minds are programmed to manage perception, time and memory. We fill in so much of what we see and hear from previous experience, that we live as much in our pasts as in our present.
